The transition committee is tasked with researching the community management needs and making recommendations to the board. This includes evaluating alternate management companies.

Grand Oaks Management Update

Following notification by Willamette Community Management (WCM) of their termination of our service contract as of June 9, 2023, the Grand Oaks Board acted swiftly to keep our neighborhood stable and successfully moving forward. On April 14th the Board invited homeowners to volunteer to serve on the Transition Committee (TC), which was formed on April 17th. Since that time, the seven-member TC has been meeting frequently. Board members have attended these meetings and Committee chairs have provided valuable information, documents, and resources. The board, with help from the TC, has done intense planning to ensure that all operational aspects of GOSOA are successfully self-managed, at least on an interim basis. At the same time, the TC has been reviewing various management options to determine the best solution in the long term.

Effective June 1, 2023 the GOSOA Board assumed all operational responsibilities for our community. Homeowners may see minor changes, but operations will continue with minimal disruption. Please know everyone involved in the transition is working hard to keep our neighborhood strong.

Starting January 1st, 2024 The Management Trust (The transition committee’s #1 recommendation) will assume professional management for Grand Oaks.

Homeowner Input and Feedback Survey

Homeowner views are essential for a successful transition. At the Board meetings on May 17th, June 14th and July 19th, the Transition Committee (TC) updated the community on its activities and listened to homeowners’ opinions.

The TC also seeks additional homeowner feedback through a survey, which was distributed to homeowners through their emails of record on Monday July 10th. If you never provided an email for the GO mailing list, please use the directory update form in the right column of this page.

The survey closed on Wednesday, July 26th 2023 at 5 pm.
